Every September brings with it the back-to-school shopping and the whole “going back to school” feel, even though we finished school a long time ago.

Apart from that, each September means starting the new season, be it our favourite TV show or simply promising ourselves certain things (that we’ll once again include in the New Year’s resolution list).

So, no matter how old you are, this time when we’re going back to school (literally or metaphorically) is a lot more than buying pens, notebooks and highlighters, as the new season means a new you.

Take a look at all the other things that are also essentials, but somehow fall into the background once the school season starts. And, a disclaimer: this article is not only those who are going back to school but for you as well!

We all have to agree that the most important thing to pay attention to once September starts is our skin. It’s not just that it’s always necessary to care about it; providing all the best and high-quality products before the winter season will do wonders for your skin. Your main goal is to keep it healthy during the cold days of winter as well, so the best time to start is now.

The first thing that you should get for yourself is a good cleanser and moisturizer (if you’re using any). Washing your face at least two times a day and exfoliating and moisturizing it regularly will definitely make you look like a high-schooler forever.

Apart from the basic skin care essentials (we also need to emphasize the importance of a good sunscreen here as well), make sure that you have all the hair products that you need as you want your hair to get the highest mark in school. This means a good shampoo and a good conditioner and detangler.

As we’re already talking about skin care, which is a form of keeping your skin healthy, perhaps it would be best now to pay attention to our overall health as well.

This means going to the doctor to make sure that everything’s fine (it’s always better to be safe than sorry, and an hour or so at the doctors is definitely worth the time).

Make sure to visit your dentist as well, as the problems regarding teeth can sometimes be a nightmare. This is the time to do whatever you can to be satisfied with your teeth – if you don’t like the way your teeth look at the moment, perhaps it’s time to consider making them more attractive. This is, for example, highly popular in Australia, as every service is custom-made for each patient. That’s why many Aussies opt for getting high-quality porcelain veneers in Melbourne, because they’re not only custom-made (which is a result of a detailed analysis), but they also look extremely natural.

Also, don’t forget to check your eyesight – the new school year is starting, and perhaps it’s better to get your glasses now than have any bigger problems in the future.

Now that we’ve come to high school, it’s time to start talking about makeup.

For this season, perhaps it’s best to focus on high-quality makeup products rather than those that are simply cheap.

All these products go on your skin, so it’s always better to actually care about the ingredients and choose the best of the best. Not only are they healthier, but they will also probably last longer (let’s talk eyeshadows, for instance – if they’re well-pigmented they are bound to last longer).

Make sure to know all the makeup trends and choose the products you want to buy accordingly. You can also always watch different YouTube tutorials on the makeup trends of 2018/2019 and become the new style icon.

If you want to look like Alicia Silverstone in Clueless, be our guest. Actually, we’re fans of that look, so go ahead!

The new school year also means a new style – if you’re going to be changing it, is there a better time than now? You’ll probably be reading numerous articles about fashion weeks and red carpets so you can always turn to a street style sector from the latest fashion week for inspiration. Make sure that you don’t want to copy someone else’s look, but rather make your own based on an outfit that you’ve seen. The options are limitless!

New September, new fall, new school year, new you! Change whatever you want to change about yourself and start this new season afresh!
